The three popular Bodhisattvas are depicted in this thangka; Avalokiteshvara, Manjushri and Vajrapani. This is to symbolize some of the foundational teachings of the Buddha. It represents compassion, wisdom and fearlessness, as well as the protection of Dharma.

Avalokiteshvara's features and relaxed and non-threatening, almost inviting. Manjushri appears to be semi-peaceful, whereas Vajrapani is wrathful.
