Nakthang Style Thangka Print Of Ekajati
The Ekajati Thangka Print is in Nakthang Style. She is the most powerful guardian. Her single open eye of wisdom on her forehead symbolizes that she protects along the solitary road of Buddha nature's natural unity. While her two eyes are sunken and dried, indicating the exhaustion of dualistic perception. The single plait of hair that flows straight upward represents the single unified path of the Ati Great Perfection. Her single tooth of realization pierces the aorta of dualistic demonic forces. Her single breast nurtures the pure practitioner upon the throne.

She is the chief custodian of the Dzogchen teachings, according to Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, and is "a personification of the inherently non-dual character of primordial energy." As noted above, Dzogchen is Tibetan Buddhism's most jealously guarded doctrine, and Ekajati is one of its principal guardians. Ekajati provided extraordinary personal direction to the great master Longchenpa, who was responsible for propagating some Dzogchen teachings.
