About our Statue
He is worshiped widely by both Buddhists and Hindus. In Buddhism, he is depicted in many forms, in this statue, we have depicted him sitting on a moon disc atop a lotus. He has an elephant face with three eyes, his eyes are symbolic of wisdom and enlightenment. He is depicted with four hands in which he holds a lotus in one hand, a representation of enlightenment. He is holding a hatchet with his other hand. You can use this statue for various religious ceremonies and everyday meditational practices.
Introduction to Ganesh Sukunda
The popularity of Buddhist Ganesha extends beyond the spiritual. Ganesha is a Sanskrit name for the protector of prosperity and the remover of hindrances in Tibetan Buddhism. He is Vinayaka, a directional Protector. Avalokiteshvara persuades Ganesha to become a Dharma Protector in one of the Tantra stories.
Sukunda is an oil lamp with a combination of lamp and oil container. It is made of metal in artistic design. Oil is stored in the main section of the large pot and burnt in the bowl beside the neck with the aid of a wick. The filling of oil is done by a metal spoon known as Sumicha. Sukunda is the most essential object for every religious and social performance. Ganesh's inscription must be in it, whose presence is always needed for the performances as the god of the bestower of success.
