Guru Padmasambhava with Consorts: Mandarva and Yeshe Tsogyal, Traditionally Handpainted Thangka

Guru Padmasambhava means "Lotus Essence", a symbol of spiritual perfection, peace, manifests and teaches Mandarava. He is considered the embodiment of all Buddhas of the Three Kayas. He transforms negative energies into compassionate and peaceful forms.

In this thangka, Guru Rinpoche is shown seating in the center at the lotus seat with a calm face and wearing a monk's hat. His right hand is in a mudra holding a vajra and his left hand holding a skull cup. He is accompanied by Mandarva and Yeshe Tsogyal.
