Manjushri embodies the infinite wisdom of the Buddhas and is Graceful, Magnificent, and Melodic. He holds a book of the Perfection of Wisdom sutras on a lotus flower stalk in his left hand and a blazing sword of wisdom in his right. His two-edged sword cuts through layers of confusion, distinguishing sharply between the independent way things seem to work and the correct interdependent way. Manjushri cleared the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, bringing the Buddha's teachings and making it acceptable for people.

How to take care of your thangka?
-Hang your thangka in a traditional silk brocade
-Regular Inspection of your thangka; examine the borders and all attachments.
-Keep thangkas covered when they are on display but not in use.
-Rotate thangkas between display and storage regularly, two to four times a year, to reduce the amount of exposure to light. Keep away from sunlight and humidity.
-Do not apply liquids or other materials to the surface of the thangka.
