Lineage Masters Thangka in Dzongchen Style

This interesting thangka is composed of Guru Drupchen Jho Rigdzin in the centre, along with the lineage masters Gar Lama Trinley Gyatso and Guru Padmavajra.
We received in the commission for this unique thangka from a dharma friend in Indonesia for his vajrayana practice. To support the spiritual practice, both of us (we and the patron) had multiple series of discussion in order to make sure all the details were accurately depicted. Our patron also provided us with all the helpful informations including the precise instructions for each of the deity (Colors, expression, attributes were clearly provided.
Once everything was confirmed, we did a pencil sketch on the canvas to make sure of the placements of the deities.
On the top of the main Guru are (from left to right): Manjushri, Buddha Shakyamuni and Guru Padmasambhava. All three of Guru Padmasambhava, Gar Lama and Padmavajra are depicted as wearing same colored Robe (similar to Nyingmapa).
On the lower part of the thangka are portrayed the three Nyingma Protectors: (from Left to Right: Rahula, Ekajati and Dorje Lekpa)
Second step for us was to create a supporting backdrop for this arrangement of deity. We added a soothing scenery with mountains, water, trees, clouds. Then afterwards, we started to color the thangka.
Finally after about 6 months, we were able to bring this thangka to finish. A carefully drawn thangka of Guru Drupchen that further support our patron's practice.
