Symbolically, Dorje Vajra destroys ignorance. In Tibetan Buddhist rituals, the vajra is often used with the bell, representing the masculine and the feminine, the ying and the yang, the effective action, and the compassion. The shape of the Tibetan Dorje is symmetrical, the two pyramidal heads representing samsara and Nirvana, which cancel each other out in its center thanks to the ring of Emptiness. Having a Dorje at home would have positive virtues against the various attacks we suffer. The bell or drills is the feminine aspect of the perfection of wisdom, which directly realizes emptiness. The Vajra or Dorje represents the male aspect as a method or skillful means, the indestructible nature of the absolute. Together they symbolize the blessing mandala of a practitioner’s main yidam deity. How to set up your own Buddhist Shrine?-Find a clean, quiet, and uncluttered spot.-Set up an altar table, and cover it with an altar cloth that calls to you.-Place your sacred item (statue, thangka, or a picture of Buddha) at the center.

He also wears an antelope skin on his shoulders and carries various weapons in his hands. Lokeshvara is a cosmic form of Avalokiteswara and is represented by eleven heads and one thousand arms. He is adorned with all the six jewels and isdressed in a monastic robe. Lokeshvara is also the spiritual father of White Tara and Green Tara, who were said to be formed from his two drops of tears when he saw the pain and suffering in the sentient beings. 1,000 Armed Chenresig | Tibetan Hand Painting
1,000 Armed Chenresig Introduction To The Thangka : Lokeshvara wears all the ornaments: earrings ,bracelets and so forth. He also wears an antelope skin on his shoulders and carries various weapons in his hands. Lokeshvara is a cosmic form of Avalokiteswara and is represented with eleven heads and one thousand arms. He is adorned with all the six jewels and is dressed in a monastic robe. Lokeshvara is also the spiritual father of White Tara and Green Tara who were said to be formed from his two drops of tears when he saw the pain and suffering in the sentient beings. They are all boddhisattvas (liberators of the sentient beings from pain and suffering) who have very prominent spots among the Tibetan Deities. One day, while helping beings in a higher realm, He looked down into the hells which He had emptied through the teaching of the Dharma, and realised, to His dismay, that countless beings were still flooding into them. In a moment of exasperation, He became so disheartened that true to His vow, His body shattered in great agitation and despair. Despite this, He did not just give up — His consciousness beseeched the Buddhas for help. Of the Buddhas who came to aid Him, one was Amitabha Buddha, who became His Guru (personal teacher) Buddha. With the Buddha's miraculous powers, He attained a new form — one with a thousand helping hands of Compassion coupled with the eyes of Wisdom in each palm. With this, He renewed His vow to saving not just limited sentient beings, but all sentient beings.
