Note: 1000 Armed Chenrezig Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio, located at Boudha Stupa.

Chenrezig is renowned as the Buddha of Compassion, and his 1000-armed figure reflects his never-ending commitment to alleviating the suffering of sentient beings. In essence, he encapsulates the compassion of all 1,000 Buddhas into a single image. Chenrezig, the 1000-Armed, is the principal object of refuge in Nyungne, a deep fasting retreat practice. Keeping stringent vows, maintaining complete quiet, and fasting are all part of the discipline.
