1000 Armed Chengrezig Print
Introduction To 1000 Armed Chenrezig:
Avalokiteshvara's 1000-armed form is well-known among Buddhist practitioners. It is believed that in front of Buddha Amitabha, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara made firm vows to voluntarily incarnate into the three realms of the universe in order to release all sentient beings from their afflictions. He also pledged that if his compassion and fearless mentality of mercy for all sentient beings dwindled, his head and body would simply break and collapse into thousand pieces. Lokeshwora went through global manifestations into the three realms of existence after receiving blessings from Buddha Amitabha.
How does Thangka benefit us?
It goes without saying that every detail of a painting has a symbolic meaning. Regardless of your religious affiliation, a thangka can help you on your path to enlightenment, whether you practice Buddhism or have other religious convictions. Thangkas are paintings that depict deities with various iconographic elements and symbolism that encourage meditation on the teachings of the god they depict. Any thangka is intended to aid in the removal of the film of ignorance, which is a significant barrier to the road to enlightenment.
