The exuberant 1000 Armed Chenrezig Thangka is done with acrylic color and 24K Gold on cotton canvas. This thangka features 1000 armed Chenrezig Bodhisattva in the middle of numerous Buddhist deities like the White Tara, Guru Rinpoche, Manjushree, Vajrapani, Shakyamuni Buddha, Green Tara, Dzambhala and Amitabha Buddha. The Bodhisattva is known for his compassion, represented by the 1000-arms, each holding a different symbol or tool, symbolizing his ability to help all sentient beings in every war possible.  In the thangka, the Bodhisattva can be seen standing on a moon disc lotus surrounded by his 1000 arms and huge nimbus.

Given the significance of thangkas in Buddhist rituals, this magnificent thangka would make a wonderful gift for any devotee like yourself. It can be employed in various Buddhist rites and to gain merit.

Note: 1000 Armed Chenrezig Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio, located at Boudha Stupa.

Chenrezig is renowned as the Buddha of Compassion, and his 1000-armed figure reflects his never-ending commitment to alleviating the suffering of sentient beings. In essence, he encapsulates the compassion of all 1,000 Buddhas into a single image. Chenrezig, the 1000-Armed, is the principal object of refuge in Nyungne, a deep fasting retreat practice. Keeping stringent vows, maintaining quiet, and fasting are all part of the discipline.
