Avalokiteshvara-Chenrezig Buddha Thangka Painting
The Chenrezig Buddha, known as Avalokiteshvara(in Sanskrit) Thangka, portrays the calm and compassionate deity seated on a lotus seat. He is holding a wish-fulfilling gem in his sadhana, covered by both fists together. The other left hand has the bloomed, semi-bloomed, and unbloomed lotus stem. The right hand is holding a crystal rosary. The green hills and trees and the flowing water stream represent harmony and balance in life.

Chenrezig is one of the most popular Bodhisattva in Vajrayana. It is celebrated and placed among the heart of every Tibetan Himalayan community. The practice of Avalokiteshvara is encouraged to develop a calm and compassionate heart. Compassion is the root foundation for excelling in the Buddhist path. Kind, Calm, and Open Mind is only possible if we are forgiving. Avalokiteshvara Thangka is used in visual meditation to develop a calm, kind, and compassionate heart.

As requested for consecrations/blessings, we can take thangka to Monasteries/Rinpoches from nearby Boudha Stupa. We kindly ask you to offer $20 for the monasteries for blessings/consecration service.
