About Our Thanka:

The Chenresig Metal Wall Hanging is a testament to Tibet's rich artistic heritage, meticulously handcrafted on an iron frame. This 44cm tall piece intricately combines brass, silver, and copper, resulting in a harmonious interplay of colors and textures. Each metal contributes to its distinct aesthetic, representing the fusion of traditional craftsmanship and spiritual symbolism.

Our artisans use a specialized technique to achieve the distinctive antique finish that is a hallmark of Tibetan art. This finish not only highlights the piece's depth and beauty but also connects it to the region's ancient artistic tradition. It was a deliberate decision, reflecting our dedication to preserving and celebrating traditional craftsmanship.

This wall hanging is spiritually inspired and ideal for enhancing meditation spaces or adding a serene touch to home décor. The depiction of Chenresig, an icon of compassion in Buddhist culture, has a calming effect. It appeals to those who value the deeper aspects of Buddhist philosophy and artistic expression.

Introduction To The Chenresig :

Chenresig epitomizes the bodhisattva's determination to delay attaining Buddhahood until he has assisted every sentient being on Earth in achieving freedom from pain and the cycle of death and rebirth. His name has been translated as "the lord who observes in all directions." The practice of Chenresigs encouraged them to develop a calm and compassionate heart. Compassion is the root foundation for excelling in the Buddhist path. He listens to the prayers of all sentient beings in times of challenge and difficulty.

How do take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
