Description

Green Tara Thangka | Hand Painted Painting | Traditional Style

The Green Tara Thangka visualize her essence of serenity. With decades of experience, our artist has painted her in lush green color, wearing the ornaments of a bodhisattva in ready-to-ease posture. Her left hand makes the refuge gesture by pressing the thumb and ring finger together, holding a blue lotus, symbolizing the unity of wisdom and compassion; the other three fingers denote the triple jewels, namely, the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. At Enlightenment, we use natural stone colors to make the painting more natural and traditional, with every minimal detailing to perfection.

Note: The Green Tara Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio, located at Boudha Stupa.

Green Tara is also a Buddhist savior-goddess with numerous forms, widely popular in Buddhist culture. She is a compassionate and succoring deity. The protector of navigation, earthly travel, and spiritual travel along the path to Enlightenment. She emanated in a human form like ours- two arms, two legs, two eyes to connect with human beings and bring them towards Enlightenment. Green Tara is one of the familiar carnations of Tara to help all beings who seek her aid.

The practice of Green Tara helps us remove fears and hindrances. And also develop the ability to benefit all the sentient beings.
