Discover the Power of Guru Rinpoche, the Second Buddha | Enlightener of Tibet
A powerful thangka of Guru Rinpoche, the Second Buddha, is a sacred work of Himalayan art, hand-painted in the Karma Gadri style. Created on high-quality cotton canvas, it features a radiant glow symbolizing divine presence. The canvas offers durability and traditional texture, while the gold detailing adds a radiant glow symbolizing divine presence. Every brushstroke is a devotional act, making this thangka not just a piece of art but a spiritual invocation.
Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, is the enlightened master who brought Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century and is honored as the Second Buddha. The lotus hat with a vulture feather and half vajra adorns him, symbolizing his supreme realization. He holds a 5-pronged vajra in his right hand, representing compassionate action, and in his left, a skull cup with a vase—a symbol of transformation. His katvanga staff rests at his shoulder, signifying tantric wisdom. He sits upon a moon disc and lotus seat, radiating purity.
This thangka is ideal for personal altars, meditation spaces, or as a meaningful gift for any practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism or collector of sacred art.
