Bhaisajyaguru, Medicine Buddha Lapis Lazuli Thangka
The Medicine Buddha Lapis Lazuli, also known as Bhaishajyaguru, is honored as the supreme healer and the master of medicinal knowledge in Tibetan Buddhism. He represents purity, healing energy, and a compassionate desire to alleviate suffering while guiding beings toward enlightenment. Each brushstroke in this exquisite thangka pays tribute to his legacy and serves as a visual meditation tool.
This religious artwork is painted on superior cotton canvas, a long-lasting and authentic surface ideal for traditional Tibetan thangkas. The vivid and natural colors emanate from the stone hues of Lhasa, which mirror the Himalayan sacred landscapes. The thangka, adorned with 24K gold, exudes a magnificent radiance that enhances the Medicine Buddha's spiritual presence.
The Medicine Buddha is depicted seated serenely on a lotus seat. His body shines with a lapis lazuli hue, symbolizing purity and the vast expanse of healing energy. His right hand, positioned in the Varada Mudra, holds a sprig of myrobalan, which represents medicinal wisdom. In his left hand, he cradles a golden alms bowl filled with nectar, signifying the ultimate remedy for all suffering. The balanced lines and luminous details, rendered in the Karma Gadri style, create a harmonious and timeless masterpiece, perfect for any sacred space or meditation room.
