Vajrakilaya thangka is a Tibetan Nyingma Yidam painting which is painted with acrylic color and 24k gold. Vajrakilaya's name indicates Buddha-ability wisdom to transform ignorant beings' self-destructive habits. To stop egocentrism and possessiveness, he shows the power of transcending wisdom.

Vajrakilaya (also known as Vajrakumara) is the deity of the magical thundernail, the kla, an instrument of dharmakaya, a wisdom forded via the force of one-pointed focus. This 'one-pointed' attention is a conscious awareness of all dharmas' interconnectedness and interdependence. 'Applying oneself totally' is how this single-minded focus is described. The Nyingmapa worships Vajrakilaya, a tantric archetypal god who is revered by the Nyingmapa. This empty yet apparent deity's magnificent and wrathful manifestation aids practitioners in removing impediments to enlightenment.
