Vajrapani Thangka
Introduction To The Thangka :
The embodiment of all the Buddhas' limitless strength, Vajrapani is the first meditational god in this series to be seen in a furious form. He is shown wielding a Diamond Scepter. He is standing and wearing a deep blue outfit made of tiger silk. He is holding a vajra in his right hand, which symbolizes the enlightened power of complete spiritual enlightenment, and his hands are in a commanding mudra, which is used to conquer barriers. His brow is adorned with a third eye of understanding, and flames of wisdom energy are emitted from every pore of his powerful body. The person who wields the Vajra, which stands for the power of complete enlightenment, is known as a Vajrapani.
How to take care of your thangka?
-Hang your thangka in a traditional silk brocade
-Regular Inspection of your thangka; examine the borders and all attachments.
-Keep thangkas covered when they are on display but not in use.
-Rotate thangkas between display and storage on a regular basis, two to four times a year, to reduce the amount of exposure to light. Keep away from sunlight and humidity.
-Do not apply liquids or other materials to the surface of the thangka.
