Buddha Print
About Our Print:
Shakyamuni Buddha's thangka depicts him with his left hand in the Dhyana "meditation" mudra. A Buddhist monk's customary alms bowl sits in the palm of his hand. Shakyamuni Buddha rests on a single lotus pedestal in full lotus position. Furthermore, Shakyamuni Buddha bears all of the classic markings of a Buddha. The third eye of knowledge, three necklines, an ushnisha top knot, and lengthened ears are all part of this look. Prince Siddhartha Gautama did, in fact, represent his social rank as Hindu royalty.
How does Thangka benefit us?
It goes without saying that every detail of a painting has a symbolic meaning. Regardless of your religious affiliation, a thangka can help you on your path to enlightenment, whether you practice Buddhism or have other religious convictions. Thangkas are paintings that depict deities with various iconographic elements and symbolism that encourage meditation on the teachings of the god they depict. Any thangka is intended to aid in the removal of the film of ignorance, which is a significant barrier to the road to enlightenment.
