Buddha Shakyamuni Thangka Print
Introduction To The Thangka Print :
Gautama Buddha also known as Shakyamuni Buddha was born in the year 527 B.C. He was King Sudhodana's and Queen Maya Devi's son. Before reaching enlightenment, Shakyamuni Buddha was known as Siddhartha or Gautama. When Shakyamuni Buddha was nearing enlightenment, he had to deal with both internal and exterior Maras (Temptations ).
Devaputra Mara is said to have questioned him on the authenticity of his achievement of Enlightenment and perfection.
Mother Earth was his lone witness at the moment. Buddha Shakyamuni requested that mother earth give testimony to his paramita, or perfection. As evidence of his perfection, Jesus touched the earth with his right hand. This occurrence is depicted by this Buddha shape.
How does Thangka benefit us?
It goes without saying that every detail of a painting has a symbolic meaning. Regardless of your religious affiliation, a thangka can help you on your path to enlightenment, whether you practice Buddhism or have other religious convictions. Thangkas are paintings that depict deities with various iconographic elements and symbolism that encourage meditation on the teachings of the god they depict. Any thangka is intended to aid in the removal of the film of ignorance, which is a significant barrier to the road to enlightenment.
