Introduction To Buddhist Kapala :
The buddhist skull cup, known in Sanskrit as Kapala, is made from the oval top portion of a human skull. It is used as a libation cup for several Vajrayana deities. Kapala carries the nectar utilized in higher esoteric rituals performed during higher tantric meditation. It grants gods and goddesses liberty in exchange for their devotion. The Kapala, or Skull Bowl, is utilized ritually in numerous ways in Tibetan Buddhism.
