Avalokiteshvara (Four Armed Chenrezig), Tibetan Thangka Painting for Meditation

We have painted all the iconographic details with much precision to help your meditation practice of the Four Arm Chenrezig. He is seen serenely seated in meditation posture (Vajra-asana) in the thangka. In this fine work of Buddhist art, Chenrezig is shown folding his two hands, holding a wish fulfilling jewels. His upper left hand is holding a white lotus, while his upper right hand is holding the endless cycle or akashamala. On a lotus and moon seat is the Four-Armed Chenrezig.

It is believed that in the presence of Buddha Amitabha, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara made firm vows to consciously incarnate into the three realms of samsara in order to free all sentient beings from samsara and to serve as their highest teacher. Additionally, he pledged to let his head and body entirely break and shatter into thousands of pieces if, by chance, his courage and kindness for all sentient beings began to wane.
