Traditional Hand Painted Green Tara Thangka
Our artist has handpainted Green Tara complementing nature with the sun to her left and moon to her right. The Great Mother is painted in lush green color, seated in a graceful, ready-to-ease posture with her left foot bent and right foot pendant but supported by white lotus. The auspicious gems are right below her foot. She holds bloomed,semi-bloomed, and unbloomed lotus flowers in both hands. Her warm eyes, the green hills, and the waterfall from white mountains radiate Harmony.

Note: Green Tara Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio, located at Boudha Stupa.
Green Tara is the female counterpart of Avalokiteshvara and is believed to be the Nepali princess, whereas the White Tara is said to be a Chinese princess. The Tibetan tradition maintains that Mother Tara incarnates in every pious woman. Some consider her the original Tara and the female consort of Amoghasiddhi, one of the Dhyani Buddhas.
