Introduction To The Thangka :
Bodhisattva Manjushri ( Manjushree) is the embodiment of the wisdom of all the Buddhas. Tibetan artwork called the Manjushree Bodhisattva Thangka was created in 24 karat gold. He is engulfed by the spectacular blue nimbus, which is surrounded by brilliantly patterned gold that is visible through the green halo that illuminates his face. It is interesting to watch the river run beneath the many different colored clouds. He looks magnificent while perched atop a moon disc lotus throne that appears to float in the air, adding to the thangka's lovely mood.
How to take care of your thangka?
-Hang your thangka in a traditional silk brocade
-Regular Inspection of your thangka; examine the borders and all attachments.
-Keep thangkas covered when they are on display but not in use.
-Rotate thangkas between display and storage on a regular basis, two to four times a year, to reduce the amount of exposure to light. Keep away from sunlight and humidity.
-Do not apply liquids or other materials to the surface of the thangka.
