PrajnaParamita The Perfection Of Wisdom In Mahayana Buddhism
Prajnaparamita, the goddess of transcendental wisdom. In print, we have portrayed her with a peaceful countenance. Meditative posture and gesture exude a sense of serenity and sagacity, set in contrast to the ornate and intricate adornments that grace her being. The goddess sits in the perfect lotus meditative position, known as Vajrayana, atop a double lotus cushion called padmasana, which rests upon a square foundation. In her hands, the goddess performs the dharma chakra-mudra, a symbol of the turning of the wheel of dharma. Her left arm is draped around an utpala, a blue lotus flower, atop which her attribute, the lontar palm leaf book known as the Prajnaparamita Sutra, rests.
This print of Prajnaparamita Goddess will be a beautiful addition to your shrine and a wonderful gift from Nepal to a practitioner like you.
