Tibetan 24K Gold White Tara Goddess Thangka
This exuberant White Tara Goddess Thangka is done with natural stone color and 24K Gold on cotton canvas. This thangka depicts the female bodhisattva of compassion and long life seated on a Moon Disc upon a Lotus Seat in the Vajra posture, portraying the Varada Mudra through his left hand representing offering, charity, compassion, and sincerity. The deity holds a 'Pundarika,' Lotus, between her thumb and ring finger, which symbolizes purity and enlightenment.
In the painting, the deity possesses seven eyes in total: three eyes on her face, each on her palms and soles, representing her all-seeing nature and her ability to perceive the suffering of all being from all directions. She is adorned with various gold jewelry and a 5 jeweled crown.
