13th cent. Style Kurukulla Thangka Painting

"The entire universe is the mandala of the dakini. The Mother's mandala is all phenomena, the display of the wisdom dakini." ~Jigme Lingpa
We take delight in making this Kurukulla thangka. This style of the thangka is known as the Kadampa style. It is difficult and uncommon to draw. As you can see there are many minute linings the artist has to keep on drawing. It has specific patterns and motifs which is rare to find in another school of Tibetan thangka.

When Buddhism went to Tibet along with it many art, tradition, and culture also were passed into the land. Kadampa's style of thangka was also one of them. The oldest thangka dated has been around the 10th cent. And It is a Kadampa thangka.

This can be the perfect gift for a practitioner like you. All the attributes and emblem are done according to the Buddhist text and iconography. We take delight to share our Vajrayogini with you all.
May the blessings of Yogini be there on your path.
