Lhasa Hues Bodhisattva Manjushri with Chenrezig and Vajrapani | Premium Thangka of Wisdom, Compassion, and Power
A premium Bodhisattva Manjushri with Chenrezig and Vajrapani Thangka, hand-painted on cotton canvas with natural Lhasa stone colors and enriched with genuine 24K gold. Created in the refined Karma Gadri style, this thangka is defined by its spacious background, soft tones, and luminous detail. Measuring 8"/20 cm by 17"/43 cm, it radiates elegance and sacred symbolism, making it a rare collector’s treasure.
The unique quality of this thangka resides in the distinct and exquisite depictions of each deity. At the core is Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, who is portrayed holding a stem with a blossom flower topped by a flaming sword, symbolizing the potency of transcendent wisdom. In his left hand, he carefully sustains the Prajnaparamita scripture, representing the essence of ultimate knowledge.
At the bottom right is Vajrapani, depicted here in a tranquil form—a rare portrayal. Both of his hands grasp stems of lotus blossoms; one supports a vajra, a symbol of spiritual power, while the other holds a bell, representing wisdom and compassion in union. Above it is Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara) in his two-armed manifestation. His left hand holds a lotus stem, signifying purity and compassion, whereas his right arm rests gracefully behind him on the lotus seat, accentuating serenity and limitless compassion.
Together, these three deities are portrayed to symbolize the Rigsum Gonpo—the Lords of the Three Families. Manjushri epitomizes wisdom, Chenrezig exemplifies compassion, and Vajrapani emanates power and protection. Together, they form a perfect balance of qualities that are crucial for enlightenment, giving practitioners a clear mind, an open heart, and the strength to overcome challenges. This thangka, notable for its rare iconography, is a visual masterpiece and spiritual blessing intended to foster wisdom, compassion, and strength.
