This exquisite Thangka portrays Amitabha Buddha, the Buddha of Infinite Light and the principal figure of Pure Land Buddhism. Seated in a meditative posture upon a beautifully detailed lotus throne, Amitabha radiates tranquility and compassion.

Amitabha's radiant red complexion symbolizes the fire of his wisdom and compassionate nature. His hands are in the dhyana mudra, symbolizing meditation, with his palms facing upward in his lap, holding a golden bowl filled with the nectar of immortality.

As requested for consecrations/blessings, we can take thangka to Monasteries/Rinpoches from nearby Boudha Stupa. We kindly ask you to offer $50 for the monasteries for blessings/consecration services.
