Description

Tibetan Gold-painted Bodhisattva Manjushri Thangka

This Bodhisattva Manjushri Thangka is painted in the traditional Tibetan painting style of Karma Gardi by our professional artists in our studio. The painting is on a cotton canvas with acrylic color and genuine 24K gold. The wise Bodhisattva is depicted seated atop a moon disc lotus seat regally with a serene, youthful facial expression symbolizing the unchanging nature of wisdom. The radiant nimbus behind the Bodhisattva accentuates his sublime presence. Two lotuses bloom beside him, representing the unfolding of spiritual awareness and the achievement of enlightenment.

Given the significance of thangkas in Vajrayana Buddhist rituals, this magnificent thangka would make a wonderful gift for any devotee like yourself. It can be employed in various Buddhist rites and to gain merit.

Note: Manjushree Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.

Manjushri embodies all the buddhas' unfathomable wisdom: Smooth, Glorious, and Melodious. He is golden orange in hue and wields a flaming sword of wisdom in his right hand and a lotus flower stem in his left, on which a volume of the Perfection of Wisdom sutras rests. His double-edged sword cuts through layers of misconception, precisely distinguishing between the independent way things appear to exist and the interdependent way they genuinely do. Manjushri drained Nepal's Kathmandu Valley, making it fit for human habitation and disseminating the Buddha's teachings.
