Traditional Tibetan Thangka of Chenrezig, Four-Armed Avalokiteshvara
Chenrezig Four-Armed Avalokiteshvara represents unbounded compassion in Tibetan Buddhism. This artwork is hand-painted on cotton canvas in the traditional Karma Gadri style using vibrant acrylic colors. Chenrezig is revered for his selfless vow to assist all sentient beings, inspiring followers to cultivate love, kindness, and awareness in their spiritual practice. The thangka showcases the dedication and skill of Tibetan craftsmen, making it a valuable piece for meditation or as an enhancement to sacred spaces.
With four arms, his two middle hands hold a wish-fulfilling jewel at his heart, symbolizing boundless compassion and the union of wisdom and love. His other hands hold a crystal mala, representing continual prayer, and a lotus flower, which signifies purity and spiritual awakening. He sits serenely on a lotus throne, radiating brilliance. The rich details of his flowing robes and sacred jewels evoke a sense of divine elegance.
