Description
Traditionally Hand Painted Chenrezig Thangka
Our artist has painted this Chenrezig thangka with 24K Gold and acrylics color in a traditional karma gadri style. Enlightenment artists worked meticulously to ensure that the thangka's delicate elements were faithfully depicted, which took months to complete. The ornaments, such as the crystal rosary and five jeweled crown, are purely made of genuine 24K Gold. The deity is seated atop a lotus moon disc in a vajra posture. His upper right-hand holds a crystal rosary, while his upper left-hand holds a fully bloomed lotus. Similarly, both his lower hands are holding a wish-fulfilling gem.

Note: Chenrezig Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.
Chenrezig, also known as Avalokitesvara, or "One Who Looks With Unwavering Eye," is the most revered Bodhisattvas, representing all Buddhas' compassion. He listens to the cries of all sentient beings in times of strife and difficulty. His two front hands are clasped in front of his jewel-draped heart in a pious gesture. On his upper right hand, he wears a crystal akshamala, or rosary, symbolizing the never-ending cycle. His left hand holds a white lotus, implying that he liberates conscious people from the muddy streams of pain and hellish realms, bringing them to the new stages of enlightenment. He is dressed in silk and seated on a row of lotus petals, both legs in meditation's "diamond stance."
