Yeshe Tsogyal, known as the Queen of Great Bliss, was a historical figure and one of the most important female saints in Tibetan Buddhism. Regarded as a manifestation of Saraswati and sometimes identified with Tara, she is celebrated as a Dakini and a key figure in the transmission of Vajrayana Buddhism in Tibet. Her life story exemplifies the possibility of achieving full enlightenment within a single lifetime, and her teachings continue to inspire as profound methods for the realization of Buddhahood.
