Himalayan Buddhist Deity Dakini Mandarva Thangka

The Dakini Mandarava Thangka is hand-painted on a cotton canvas using natural stone colors. In the painting, we have portrayed the deity atop a lotus seat holding the khatvanga in her right hand while a vase in her left. The deity is decorated with precious jewels and pearls. We assure you that the materials used for painting the art are high quality and will last many years.  To further highlight the features of the deity, we have used genuine 24K gold. This gives a stunning finishing touch to the painting. This Mandarava thangka will be a source of great encouragement and inspiration in your Vajrayana practice.

Note: Mandarava Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.

Lhacham Mandarava was a princess; her father was the king of Zahor, named Vihardhara, and her mother Mohauki. Her birth was foretold by Buddha's disciple Kashyapa, and she was a manifestation of the wisdom body Vajravarahi, endowed with all the qualifying marks. When Mandarava first met with Guru Padmasambhava at 16, she was already ordained as a monk. Instinctively, she realized that Guru was a great teacher and received teachings and empowerments of the secret Vajrayana, along with her attendants, in her private chambers in the palace. Upon receiving his initiations, Mandarva became both disciple and consort of the Mahaguru.
