Traditional Hand Painted Ekajati Practice Thangka

In the conventional Nakhthang style, we have skillfully hand-drawn the Ekajati Practice Thangka. The deity was painted using acrylic paint on cotton canvas. Furthermore, pure 24K gold is heavily utilized in this art form. The use of gold gives the picture a distinctive perspective and a beautiful finish. Ekajati is portrayed in the thangka sitting atop a triangle-shaped flame mandala adorned with a garland made of human skulls. She raises her right hand and waves a human body with an impaled head in the air. In her left palm, she is cradling the bloodied, severed heart.

This Ekajati thangka can be used for various things, including house decoration, Buddhist rites, and meditation.

Note: Ekajati Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.

In Vajrayana Buddhist mythology, Ekajati is one of the most robust and fearsome protectors. According to Tibetan tradition, the tantric master Padmasambhava pierced her right eye to help him effectively subdue Tibetan demons. "Blue Tara," "Vajra Tara," and "Ugra Tara" are all names for Ekajati. Along with Rahula, she is often regarded as one of the Nyingma school's three primary protectors. In the Green Tara mandala, she usually appears as a liberator. Her ascribed abilities also include reducing adversaries' fear, sharing joy, and eliminating personal obstacles to enlightenment.
