Introduction To The Thangka :

In the land of Oddiyana, Guru Rinpoche was born from a lotus, thus the name Guru Rinpoche (Lotus-born). The founder of Tibetan Buddhism and the modern-day Buddha is Guru Rinpoche. He also goes by the name The Precious Master. Guru Rinpoche, a fully realized Buddha, trained in several holy locations and imparted his wisdom to countless visible and unseen beings. Through his unstoppable abilities, he subdued numerous opposing forces that were getting in the way of his illuminating actions.

How to take care of your thangka?

-Hang your thangka in a traditional silk brocade
-Regular Inspection of your thangka; examine the borders and all attachments.
-Keep thangkas covered when they are on display but not in use.
-Rotate thangkas between display and storage on a regular basis, two to four times a year, to reduce the amount of exposure to light. Keep away from sunlight and humidity.
-Do not apply liquids or other materials to the surface of the thangka.
