Healing Buddha Thangka

About Our Thangka :

The Buddha is shown in this Gold Medicine Buddha Thangka with his right hand stretched downward, palm open, and thumb and index finger touching. This is known as Varada Mudra, or the wish-granting gesture. This mudra represents Bhaisajyaguru's benevolence, generosity, and compassion for all living beings. He holds a branch of the Myrobalan plant, an essential medicinal herb in Ayurvedic medicine, in the same hand. This plant is thought to have the ability not only to heal the body, but also to cure the inner illnesses of attachment, hate, and ignorance. His left hand is resting in his lap, palm up, in the meditation gesture (Dhyana Mudra), indicating the abolition of all disease and suffering through the knowledge of pure truth. He carries the customary begging bowl of an ordained Buddhist monk in the same hand. The bowl is filled with a precious medicinal nectar that heals all ailments, hindrances, and obstructions.
