Jambhala Thangka
Introduction To The Thangka :
Jambhala is sometimes referred to as the "Money Guard." Kubera is the Buddhist equivalent of the God of Wealth. Zambala, who appears rich, is always represented as somewhat overweight but not obese, with a good figure. He wears a beautiful crown on his spherical head and holds a lemon in his right hand. He is usually spotted perched atop what looks to be a charming tiny dragon. Dragons are venerated as beneficial spirits in Asia. In his left hand, He holds a mangoose that spits forth jewels. He also typically carries other symbols of abundant wealth in his hands, such as a money bag packed with coins. He seems semi-enraged, seated on a moon disc atop a lotus seat, his right leg outstretched.
