Traditionally Hand-Painted Manjushree Buddha Thangka

Behold the stunning hand-painting on this thangka of Manjushree Buddha, the bodhisattva of wisdom and knowledge. He radiates a divine and graceful aura with his dazzling golden skin. Manjushri, who wears a crown of five jewels and carries a fiery sword in his right hand, stands for the victory of knowledge over ignorance. A lotus blossom, representing the purity of his mind, is held in his left hand. The agility and commitment of the artist who crafted this masterpiece are highlighted by the fine details of his flowing robes and the elaborate patterns in the backdrop. You may bring Manjushri's enlightened spirit into your home or holy area by hanging this thangka there. It will also act as a constant reminder to seek enlightenment and the truth.

Note: Manjushree Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.

Manjushri embodies all the buddhas' unfathomable wisdom: Smooth, Glorious, and Melodious. He is golden orange in hue and wields a flaming sword of wisdom in his right hand, and a lotus flower stem in his left, on which a volume of the Perfection of Wisdom sutras rests. His double-edged sword cuts through layers of misconception, precisely distinguishing between the independent way things appear to exist and the interdependent way they genuinely do. Manjushri drained Nepal's Kathmandu Valley, making it fit for human habitation and disseminating the Buddha's teachings.
