Description

Buddhist Deity of Wealth and Prosperity, Namtoshe Thangka

The Buddhist deity of wealth and prosperity, Namtoshe, is beautifully depicted in this thangka. The painting is on cotton canvas with all-natural stone colors and 24K Gold colors. Here, the deity is depicted as seated majestically on a lion and a moon disc lotus seat. A triumph banner is held while a mongoose regurgitates wish-granting jewels in his left hand. He is draped in silk gowns, bejeweled with various ornaments representing his wealth and abundance. A nimbus glows behind the deity and graces us with his presence.

This thangka is a fine testament of Buddhist artistry that would be perfect for any devotee. Thangkas are an essential component of Buddhist rituals, and this thangka is perfect for rituals, especially for rituals associated with protection, healing, and removing obstacles.

Note: Namtoshe Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.

Namtoshe, the Lord of Wealth, is depicted in this Tibetan Thanka painting. His skin is a golden yellow color. He wields a triumph banner decked with wish-granting gems in his right hand and a mongoose that vomits a wish-granting jewel in his left. He is draped in flowing silk gowns with gold decorations. He wears a gold diadem. Vajrapani is the highest point on the mountain. Namtoshe, the Yaksa, and Guhyaka lord was changed into a Vidyadhara, or "knowledge wielding." In the gorgeous Alaka Palace in the Himalayas, he is seated on a lion with a green mane.
