Description

Traditionally Hand Painted Mahakala Gelug Thangka, Six Armed Mahakala

We have traditionally hand-painted the thangka of Mahakala Gelug by using genuine 24k gold and Natural Stone Color. We have depicted a deity standing atop a sun disc lotus seat. God is black, and the fire flame in his back engulfs his presence. You can use the thangka for meditational and yoga practices and even in many Buddhist rituals. The materials used in painting the art are of high quality, which will last the thangka for many years. This Tibetan painting will be a tremendous gift from Nepal to a practitioner like you.

Note: Mahakala Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.

Mahakala is the guardian god of Mahayana Buddhism and all Tibetan Buddhist schools. He represents various ways, each with its features and characteristics. He is seen as the emanation of distinct beings in some circumstances, such as Avalokitesvara or Chakrasamvara. The five kleshas (adverse ailments) are transmuted into the five pearls of wisdom, and Mahakala is generally typically represented with a crown of five skulls.
