Description

24K Gold Karma Gadri style White Tara Thangka

Our professional artists paint this White Tara Thangka in the traditional Tibetan style of Karma Gadri. The painting is on a cotton canvas with natural stone colors and 24K Gold. In this thangka, the female bodhisattva of compassion and long life is shown sitting in the Vajra posture on a Moon Disc on a Lotus Seat. Her left hand is shown making the Varada Mudra, which stands for offering, charity, compassion, and sincerity. Between her thumb and ring finger, the goddess holds a "Pundarika," or Lotus, a sign of purity and enlightenment.

This thangka is a beautiful example of Buddhist craftsmanship and would be ideal for any devotee. Buddhist rituals are often performed with thangkas, which are ideal for all ceremonies.

White Tara Practices are primarily for health, healing, and longevity. She offers to heal our wounds, whether our bodies or our minds. Her whiteness also indicates the "undifferentiated truth of the Dharma. Tara symbolizes peace, prosperity, long life, health, and good fortune.
In all schools of Tibetan Buddhism, her practices are profoundly exercised.
