Traditional Buddhist Indoor Chenrezig Thangka

This Chenrezig thangka is hand-painted in the traditional Karma Gadri style. With a peaceful expression, the deity is depicted seated on a moon disc lotus seat which is encircled by beautiful flowers. This thangka is exquisitely painted by Enlightenment artists utilizing genuine 24k gold and acrylic paints. The blue halo illuminates his face while a vibrant nimbus engulfs him. The jewels and embellishments are magnificently painted with precious gems and pearls. The artisan of Nepali thangka has passed from generation to generation reflecting Buddhism.

Avalokiteshvara embodies the bodhisattva's determination to wait until he has helped every sentient being on Earth achieve freedom (moksha; literally, "relief") from pain (dukkha) and the cycle of death and rebirth before gaining Buddhahood (samsara). "The Lord Who Watches in All Directions" is how his name has been interpreted.
