Introduction To The Thangka :

This mandala will enhance the attractiveness of any space when it is hung. The "Palace of Purity" that is the Kalachakra mandala has approximately 700 deities who are each represented by a variety of signs and symbols. Cittacakra (mind-wheels) refers to the entrances closest to the palace's core, while vakcakra refers to the doorways in between (voice-wheels). Outside Vakcakra's gates, there are statues of various creatures, including a corpse and a lotus flower that resembles a marigold.

How to take care of your thangka?

-Hang your thangka in a traditional silk brocade
-Regular Inspection of your thangka; examine the borders and all attachments.
-Keep thangkas covered when they are on display but not in use.
-Rotate thangkas between display and storage on a regular basis, two to four times a year, to reduce the amount of exposure to light. Keep away from sunlight and humidity.
-Do not apply liquids or other materials to the surface of the thangka.
