Wrathful Guru Rinpoche in Thangka Art
Following the sacred meditation manual guidelines, this Wrathful Guru Padmasambhava Thangka is meticulously hand-painted on cotton canvas using genuine 24K gold and vivid acrylic colors. The thangka depicts Guru Padmasambhava's intense energy and deep meaning in his wrathful form. The use of 24K gold enhances the artwork’s beauty, increasing its visual impact and spiritual significance.
Guru Padmasambhava is seated on a lotus throne, which represents purity and spiritual transcendence. He has a vajra in his right hand, symbolizing indestructible wisdom, and a skull cup in his left, symbolizing mastery over impermanence. He wears a Lotus Crown with a vulture feather, which symbolizes his spiritual wisdom and connection to enlightenment.
Guru Padmasambhava, known as the "Lotus-Born" master, is a significant figure in Tibetan Buddhism who established Buddhism in Tibet during the eighth century. He is regarded as the "Second Buddha" for his contributions to the spread and preservation of Dharma teachings. Several narratives and teachings highlight his mastery of tantric teachings and his ability to transform obstacles into wisdom.
