Traditional Tibetan 1000 Arm Chenrezig Thangka

We have exclusively hand-painted the 1000 Arm Chenrezig Thangka using acrylic paintings on a cotton canvas. Alongside Chenrezig, we have also placed Manjushri, Vajrapani, and Amitabha Buddha in the painting. Chenrezig is the focus deity here. He is portrayed wearing precious ornaments and colorful designed silk. Out of 1000 arms, his left hands hold a lotus, bow, arrow, and Empowerment vase, respectively, whereas his right hands hold a crystal rosary, Dharmachakra, respectively. To further highlight the features of the deity, we have used genuine 24K gold. This gives the paintings a mesmerizing shine. This will be a perfect gift for a practitioner like you from Nepal.

Note: 1000 Armed Chenrezig Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio, located at Boudha Stupa.

Chenrezig, also known as Avalokitesvara, is one of the most popular Bodhisattvas in Vajrayana. Chenrezig means gazing with the eyes of compassion in Tibetan words. Avalokitesvara Thangka is used to practice visual meditation to develop a calm, kind, and compassionate heart.

Manjushri is one of the great eight Bodhisattva who represents wisdom and enlightenment of the mind. It is believed that she drained the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal and made it suitable for human habitation and the spread of the buddha-dharma.

Vajrapani is a significant Bodhisattva easily recognizable as holding vajra with his right hand and left hand displaying threatening vitarka mudra. His body seems to be massive and in a pose of a warrior.

Buddha Amitayus, also Aparimita, is very popular in bestowing long life upon the devotees. He is practiced for lengthening the life span of dreadful deities. The recitation of this dharani is said to be efficacious when carried out in utter sincerity.
