About Our Statue :
This intricately handcrafted Avalokiteshvara statue depicts the bodhisattva of infinite compassion, known as Chenrezig in Tibetan Buddhism. Measuring 19.5 cm in height and 12.5 cm in width and weighing 0.73 kg, its oxidized copper sculpture showcases Avalokiteshvara in his iconic multi-armed form, symbolizing his limitless ability to reach out and assist all beings.
Every detail, from the peaceful facial expression to the detailed flaming halo and carefully sculpted hands, is meticulously crafted by master artisans using traditional Tibetan techniques. The oxidized finish imparts an aged, temple-like appearance, enhancing the spiritual significance for your altar, meditation corner, or sacred space. This Avalokiteshvara statue is both a powerful emblem of mercy and compassion and a meaningful piece of sacred art for those dedicated to mindfulness, service, and devotion.
Introduction To The Chenrezig :
Chenrezig symbolizes the bodhisattva's commitment to delay Buddhahood until he has assisted every sentient being on Earth to achieve liberation from misery and the cycle of death and rebirth. His name translates as "the Lord who looks in all ways." Chenrezig/Avalokiteshvara practice is suggested to cultivate a peaceful and loving heart. Compassion is the cornerstone for success on the Buddhist path. In times of stress and trouble, he listens to the pleas of all sentient beings.
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
