Black Dzambala takes the form of a dwarf who holds a skull filled with jewels and a mongoose. He signifies the wealth of both the overworld and underworld in his control. His practice can also bring us spiritual wealth and personal growth to become better people.

In Hinduism, Kubera is known as Black Jambhala. Kuber is the wealth god. He appeared from the river's waters in ancient India and handed on the capacity to generate wealth to a monarch whose realm was in dire financial straits at the time. He also assists the poor and those who are in solitary retreat and are of sound mind.
