Description
Healing Presence of Blue Buddha Bhaishajyaguru | Karma Gardi Artwork
The Blue Buddha Bhaishajyaguru Thangka is a sacred painting created using acrylic colors, 24K gold, and cotton canvas. It follows the Karma Gadri tradition, known for its balance, clarity, and elegance. The thangka emphasizes refined linework, graceful symmetry, and a peaceful spatial arrangement, highlighting the central figure's spiritual presence without excessive ornamental distraction. The Karma Gadri method creates a serene environment, allowing the deity's essence to shine through gentle landscape motifs, an open background, and precise gold use to enhance the form's softness.
Bhaishajyaguru, also known as the Medicine Buddha, is a revered buddhist figure. His lapis lazuli-colored body symbolizes wisdom and the power to overcome suffering. He holds a myrobalan plant, a sacred medicinal herb, and supports a monk's bowl containing its fruit, representing his vow to heal all ailments. The Buddha sits on a lotus seat with a moon disc, reflecting purity and detachment from samsaric suffering. Gold accents on his robe accentuate the artistic and holy value of the thangka. The expansive halo and subtle background palette reinforce a sense of peace and health. This thangka is an invitation to healing meditation and spiritual contemplation, connecting the viewer to the compassionate blessings of the Healing Buddha.
