Description

Deity Of Compassion Chenrezig, Buddhist Painting Thangka

Deity of Compassion Chenrezig's thangka painting is painted with natural stone color and 24K gold on a plain background. In this Buddhist art, he is seated on a lotus seat with multicolored petals, and his lower body is covered in colorful and intricately patterned silk. His first two hands are clasped around his heart, carrying a wish-fulfilling jewel. His left hand is holding a lotus flower, while his right hand is holding a crystal rosary. On his white complexion, his valuable jewelry and jewels look majestic. The blue halo complements his white face even more.

Note: Chenrezig Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.

Chenrezig promises never to rest until he has assisted in the liberation of all sentient beings from samsara, but his task is daunting despite his best efforts. His arms are fractured into numerous pieces to better reach out to those in need. Chenrezig saw visions of eleven heads and a thousand arms fanned out about him at times. Chenrezig is associated with the six-syllable mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, which evokes his loving power and assistance when chanted aloud or silently. Chenrezig is considered Tibet's patron, and the Dali Lama, the living Buddha, is an incarnation of him.
