Each hand is intricately adorned with exquisite 24K gold details, enhancing the vibrant aura of the Thangka.
The four directional gates of the mandala are marked by Buddhas with consorts who act as guardians and protectors at the cardinal points. These deities are surrounded by lotus petals, symbolizing purity and spiritual awakening. The mandala encompasses these sacred elements with mantras that enhance its power. The stunning gold detailing in the artwork gives the piece a divine and spiritual character, infusing it with vibrant energy and deep significance.
At the top of the composition, Vajradhara and his consorts symbolize the primordial Buddha, the foundation of all Tantric rituals. Maitreya Buddha is illustrated on the top left, signifying the future of Buddhism, while Amitayus, the Buddha of longevity, appears on the right, representing health and long life. Beneath the mandala, protective deities like Dorje Drollo, Ekajati, Rahula, Yamantaka, Palden Lhamo, and others safeguard the devotee's spiritual practice. Their presence helps eliminate obstacles and offers protection on the path to enlightenment. The incorporation of 24K gold detailing in the intricate aspects of the mandala enhances its celestial essence, transforming this Thangka into both a spiritual instrument and a work of art.
